Are you an experienced and people-focused HR professional ready to lead a small, high-performing team in one of Victoria's most progressive racing and hospitality organisations? Do you thrive on building culture, supporting leaders and ensure compliance in a dynamic team environment? If so, this could be your next exciting opportunity
About us

Responsibilities
- Lead the HR Function – manage the day-to-day delivery of HR Services and provide direction to the HR team.
- Champion culture and engagement – drive initiatives that strengthen connection, recognition, and wellbeing across the organisation.
- Advise and support leaders – provide accurate and timely guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplace investigations.
- Ensure compliance – interpret and apply the Fair Work Act, Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Attract and develop great people – oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to ensure Southside Racing has the capability to achieve its goals.
- Build capability – deliver training, performance reviews, and leadership development initiatives that empower managers and staff.
- Refine systems and policies – review and improve HR processes, policies, and reporting to ensure consistency, compliance and efficiency.
- Partner with leadership – collaborate with the GM Operations and Executive Team to align HR priorities with governance and budget frameworks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum five years' HR generalist or business partner experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Sound knowledge of Fair Work legislation, Awards, and return-to-work obligations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations and WorkCover matters.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience in the hospitality, events or racing industry desirable, but not a must.
If you think you have the right qualities, leadership capability, and drive to make a difference at Southside Racing, we'd love to hear from you.
