About the roleThe City of Sydney is looking for an experienced sustainability professional to lead the Sustainability Programs team and drive collective action across our communities.
In this role you will:
- lead the development and delivery of programs that engage businesses and residents to take action on climate and sustainability
- manage partnerships, grants and advocacy initiatives that drive sustainability leadership in the built environment
- support decarbonisation of key sectors and create inclusive, practical solutions to address the climate crisis
- inspire and influence diverse stakeholders across community, government and industry to deliver meaningful change.
You will have a relevant degree and more than 10 years' experience in sustainability, with strong people leadership, program management and stakeholder engagement skills.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
