We are seeking a Commercial Manager, Sustainability to drive the adoption of Qantas' sustainability solutions across our corporate & SME customer base, from small and mid-market organisations through to large global clients. In this role, you will partner closely with our internal sustainability team to design and deliver compelling value propositions that highlight the benefits of our key sustainability offerings, including Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). With a strong commercial lens, you will be actively involved in supporting discussions & negotiations with our customers ensuring Qantas' sustainability offerings are embedded as a core part of our customers' business strategies.
Beyond client engagement, you will play an influential role in educating and enabling our internal sales teams and external stakeholders, helping them to understand the environmental impact and commercial value of Qantas' sustainability initiatives. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, commercial acumen and stakeholder management to accelerate uptake, deepen client partnerships and strengthen Qantas' position as a leader in sustainable aviation solutions.
You'll have –
- 7 – 10 years' experience in a similar role
- Proven commercial or sales experience, ideally in B2B environments with exposure to sustainability, energy, or related industries
- Strong ability to develop and communicate compelling value propositions for complex products or solutions
- Skilled in managing the full sales cycle – from prospecting and pitching to negotiation, deal closure and ongoing account management
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-makers in large corporate environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to link environmental outcomes to commercial value
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience educating both internal teams and external clients
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely across multiple internal teams, particularly sustainability and sales
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving meaningful change within the aviation industry
