British American Tobacco Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Planning & Information Executive in Australia
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Predict industry trends, evaluate macroeconomic impacts, and forecast local market shifts to inform strategic planning.
- Monitor and analyze performance vs. forecasts; provide insights and recommendations for course correction.
- Use multiple data sources to extract actionable insights that support commercial and strategic decisions.
- Analyze competitor performance, track government policies, and monitor illicit trade impacts.
- Enhance data tools and analysis methodologies to improve efficiency and accessibility across the business.
- Inform pricing and revenue growth strategies using macroeconomic, consumer, and internal financial data.
- Work closely with Marketing, Commercial, Finance, and agency partners to ensure aligned execution of plans and insights.
- Build and maintain positive internal and external relationships to ensure smooth delivery of reporting and insights.
What are we looking for?
- Preferably 3 - 4 years of experience in Consumer Insights, Commercial Analysis, or a related role within FMCG.
- Proficient in demand forecasting, data mining, and handling internal/external data sources (e.g., Circana, Kantar, Roy Morgan).
- Skilled in Power BI and/or database management tools.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex insights clearly across different stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with teams like Marketing, Finance, and RGM.
- Experience in managing or coordinating with external data providers or agencies.
- Growth mindset, proactive learning attitude, and adaptability to new tools and business challenges.
