Reef Side Marine Pty Ltd – Bowen, QLD

Reef Side Marine Pty Ltd is a proud family-owned business that has been operating in Bowen for over 30 years. We are the local Yamaha and Mercury dealer, and we also service and repair Suzuki outboards. As a Gold Service Provider for Yamaha, Mercury, and Suzuki, our small but mighty team services boats from across the Whitsundays and beyond.

We work on a wide range of marine mechanical issues in our workshop, at local marinas, and occasionally on-site at customers' homes. Our business is fast-paced, with a loyal customer base that includes everyone from weekend boaties to commercial fishermen.


The Role

We currently have a part-time position available for a Customer Service – Spare Parts Interpreter to join our friendly team.

While experience in the marine industry is an advantage, it's not essential — what matters most is your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering excellent service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting customers with phone, email, and over-the-counter parts enquiries
  • Providing quotes, processing orders, and managing stock requests
  • Accessing and updating information within our parts computer system
  • Coordinating order pick-ups and deliveries
  • Supporting workshop staff with parts and inventory needs
  • Raising invoices and processing customer payments
  • Contributing to a positive, customer-focused team culture

Hours:

  • Part-time, Monday to Friday only (no weekends)

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • A friendly, professional approach to customer service
  • Good computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • A positive, "can-do" attitude and willingness to work as part of a small team

Experience in automotive, mechanical, or marine parts interpretation will be highly regarded, but not essential — training will be provided for the right person.
