Port Kembla, New South Wales, Australia Cleanaway Waste Management Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year
  • Permanent – Full Time – Port Kembla, NSW
  • $35.08 per hour + Overtime as required. All overtime is paid at overtime rates
  • Day shift with flexible start times
  • Rotating weekend work (generally 1 weekend every 6 weeks)
  • Uniforms and PPE provided
  • Induction and training provided

Your New Role

  • Operation of Vacuum Trucks and Road Tankers
  • Load and unload Commercial and industrial waste (Oily water and Septic tanks)
  • Operate Vehicle Check & Service tracking Phone Aps
  • Interacting with our clients in the industrial, Mining and Shipping sector
  • Inductions and training for BFM, Industry, Dangerous goods, Shipping and Mining will be supplied as required.
  • Work is mainly local, but may include trips to Sydney or Newcastle
  • Occasional trips interstate may be available
  • As our customers operate 24/7, Overtime, on call and weekend roster (every 6 weeks)
  • Yard work
  • Daily prestart and maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Comply with all relevant Fatigue Management rules, regulations and training

About You
To be successful in the role, you will have the following:

  • A manual (road ranger) HR or HC (preferred) Licence with a clean driving record
  • Good attitude, reliable and willingness to learn
  • Willing to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
  • Waste industry experience is preferred but not required
