We are currently looking for a Skid Steer Operator with 6 Wheeler Truck License to join our team. This position is located within Bluescope Limited

As a Plant operator your main duty will be to operate skid steers to clean and maintain areas within Bluescope. In addition, your duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • A strong understanding and commitment to Work Health and Safety.
  • Ability to follow instructions and to work autonomously unsupervised as well as in a team work environment alongside other businesses, contractors and coworkers.
  • Strong work ethic and taking pride in your work.
  • Proven ability to problem solve and have effective time management skills.
  • Operation of Skid Steer Loaders Competency must be evidenced.
  • Must have HR Licence
  • A thorough understanding of how skid steers operate, as well as basic troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Ability to undertake general cleaning and maintenance of equipment as required.
  • Ongoing training will be provided.

The be successful for this role, it is essential you meet the following requirements:

  • Current VOC Bobcat Ticket
  • Drivers License
  • Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence required
  • HR Truck License essential (crash box ideal)
  • Demonstrated experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of demonstrated skid steer operating experience required
  • Physically Fit
  • Must have Australian work rights
  • Police check and drug test required for employment

Candidate must be willing to learn, be part of a team and demonstrate a mechanical driven mindset.

You will be required to work independently and as a team so strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
