Family Mediators Australia is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal/Secretary to provide remote support to our growing team. This is a flexible casual and contract role for someone who values autonomy, professionalism, and meaningful work.

About the Role

  • Hours: Approx. 10–20 per week

  • Days: Currently seeking coverage for two weekdays per week, with some weekend work required (primarily monitoring calls and emails)

  • Type: Contractor role (must hold an ABN)

  • Location: Fully remote - work from home, anywhere in Australia

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing client calls with empathy and professionalism

  • Preparing and proofing letters, forms, and other documentation

  • Providing administrative support for the intake and mediation process

  • Maintaining accurate client records and file management

About You

  • Previous experience as a family law paralegal or legal secretary is essential

  • Confident and professional phone manner

  • Strong attention to detail in written communication and document preparation

  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently

  • Comfortable using technology and learning new systems

  • Holds an ABN and is set up for remote work
