Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Family Lawyer located in Mill Park / South Morang area. A three day job share position may also be considered. The Associate Family Lawyer will be responsible for handling family law matters including divorce, child custody, property settlements, and domestic violence. Day-to-day tasks include client consultations, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, negotiating settlements, and collaborating with other legal professionals. The role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of family law, providing sound legal advice, and ensuring client confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Family Law and relevant legal procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in legal research, document drafting, and case preparation
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience in client consultations and providing legal advice
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Law and a valid practicing certificate in Victoria, Australia
  • Experience in family law practice for at least 3 years is a prerequisite to be considered for this position.
