We're looking for dedicated Pathology Service Assistants to join our Bowen Hills Specimen Reception Area (SRA) Preanalytical Team. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you'll be the crucial link between specimen collection and laboratory testing ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service. Key Responsibilities

  • Unpack, receipt, and distribute specimens (may require standing for long periods)
  • Lift and carry eskies as part of specimen handling
  • Coordinating and delivering specimens to relevant laboratory departments
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparing and processing specimens prior to analysis, including centrifuging and aliquoting

Roster Details:

Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm or 4:30 pm – 12:00 am

Department operates Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 12:00 am, Saturday 8:30 am – 11:00 pm, Sunday 10:00 am – 8:00 pm

Participation in Saturday and public holiday rosters is expected
