About the role

Function Allied Health is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our growing allied healthcare team based in Ferny Hills. As a Medical Receptionist at our clinics, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality customer service and administrative support to our patients and practitioners.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice in a friendly and professional manner
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensuring confidentiality
  • Handling patient inquiries and providing information about our services
  • Assisting with the processing of payments
  • Ordering and maintaining medical supplies and ensuring the reception area is well-presented
  • Providing general administrative support to the healthcare team as required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a warm and professional manner
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in the use of medical practice management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Availability to work on either a Permanent Part-Time or Casual basis
