The Position
REIWA is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Officer (AP & Payroll Focus) to join our Finance team. This key role supports accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable and payroll functions while maintaining financial integrity across systems and reporting.
Working closely with the Finance Manager and broader finance team, you'll ensure supplier payments, employee payroll, and compliance activities are completed on time and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and expense reimbursements in line with company policy.
- Reconcile supplier statements and maintain the supplier database, ensuring accuracy of EFT and payment details.
- Manage credit card expenses and reporting through FlexiPurchase, ensuring timely approvals.
- Prepare and process fortnightly payroll, including superannuation, payroll tax, and leave balance reviews.
- Assist with FBT reporting, bank reconciliations, tenant on-cost management, and ad hoc financial duties.
- Support cash flow forecasting, month-end reporting, and financial audits.
- Provide backup support across finance functions during peak periods or staff absences.
About You
You're an organised and dependable accounting professional who takes pride in accuracy and efficiency. You thrive in a collaborative environment where teamwork and trust matter, and you're confident managing both accounts payable and payroll responsibilities from end to end.
You'll bring
- A degree in accounting or equivalent, and minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of accounting and payroll systems (NetSuite experience desirable).
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A collaborative, proactive approach and commitment to meeting deadlines.
