The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Inventory Analyst to join Downer's Infrastructure Supply Chain team. You'll play a key role in reconciling, analysing, and transacting inventory positions, managing slow-moving and obsolete materials, and providing data-driven insights to support optimal material management outcomes. This role involves independent engagement with external partners to optimise inventory, maintain accurate stock-on-hand reporting, and ensure compliance with organisational standards.
What You'll Do
- Maintain accurate inventory data and reconcile stock positions.
- Conduct audits and validations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and datasets to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with suppliers, clients, warehouse teams, T&I staff, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Manage slow-moving and obsolete material reporting, providing timely analysis and recommendations.
- Support compliance with Zero Harm, safety, and quality processes.
- Analyse material performance and provide actionable insights to management.

What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' experience in inventory, supply chain, or reporting roles.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, stock reconciliation, and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Methodical, accurate, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive, results-driven, and focused on optimisation and risk management.
