Bald Hills, Queensland, Australia Guide Dogs Queensland Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

Guide Dogs Queensland is a leading provider of services to Queenslanders living with low vision or blindness. Voted one of Australia's most trusted charities, and with thanks to the ongoing support of the community, we help people with low vision or blindness reach their goals, helping them lead an independent life of their choosing. Our services are all tailored to ensure everyone can fulfil their potential to live a life of independence, participation, inclusion, and wellbeing.

The role

Are you passionate about creating learning experiences that truly make a difference? Guide Dogs Queensland is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Volunteer Learning Content Coordinator to design and deliver engaging, accessible, and high-quality training experiences for our volunteers.

Based at our stunning Bald Hills head campus, this full-time role plays a key part in shaping how our volunteers learn, connect, and contribute right from day one. Reporting to the Volunteer Services Manager, you will be working closely with subject matter experts across Guide Dogs Queensland, where you'll transform complex information into engaging and practical learning resources - from e-learning modules and handbooks to videos and in-person workshops.

You'll be joining a close-knit and collaborative team who are dedicated to the success and engagement of our volunteers. If you're passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that empower others and make a real impact, this role offers the perfect blend of creativity, communication, and purpose - all while supporting one of Australia's most trusted charities.

You'll also play a vital role in the implementation of the team's new Volunteer Management System, Rosterfy. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the system's LMS functionality - supporting content development, and long-term success. Whether you've supported an LMS roll-out or are excited to contribute to one for the first time, this is a rare chance to help build something meaningful from the ground up

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing volunteer training resources including onboarding materials, handbooks, and e-learning modules.
  • Creating engaging digital content using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360), and multimedia assets such as videos and infographics.
  • Delivering face-to-face and virtual training sessions that build volunteer confidence and skills.
  • Supporting volunteers throughout their learning journey to encourage participation and completion.
  • Administering and maintaining the Rosterfy Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup and reporting.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate, inclusive, and aligned with GDQ's values.
  • Ensuring all training materials meet accessibility standards and the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement.
About you

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • At least 2 years' experience developing e-learning or digital learning content.
  • Experience delivering group training both in-person and online.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate) and multimedia creation (video, graphics).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with stakeholders across teams.
  • Candidates with skills from creative backgrounds (e.g. marketing, videography and/or design) are highly regarded.
Benefits
  • A rewarding career where you have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of Queenslanders living with low or no vision.
  • Salary packaging options - up to $18,550 tax free per year
  • Great location, beautiful campus and dogs in the workplace.
  • Wellness initiatives and an Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Close to public transport (rail and bus) and free onsite parking.
  • GDQ is committed to building a highly skilled workforce, assisted by a dedicated leadership team. We support our staff with learning and development opportunities, an employee benefits program and progressive workforce management strategies.
