About The Role
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is a key role within the Commercial Excellence team as it will play a pivotal role in advancing analytics to foster a data-informed culture within the organisation.
The BI Analyst will support the organisation's business intelligence and data analytics initiatives, ensuring the effective maintenance, enhancement, and development of BI dashboards and tools.
The BI Analyst will act as the first point of contact for dashboard users, responsible for troubleshooting, optimising, and maintaining existing dashboards while assisting the BI Manager in the development of new data visualisations. Expertise in data visualisation, dashboard management, and analytics will be essential in providing commercial teams with meaningful insights to support strategic business decisions.
Additionally, the BI Analyst would also support the BI Manager in delivering dashboard training and provide basic guidance and assistance to commercial teams on BI tools. The person would also assist in initiatives that enhance data literacy and BI tool proficiency across the organisation, focusing on foundational training and user adoption.
This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract based in Mascot and will report to the Head of Commercial Excellence and will work closely with the Business Intelligence Manager to enhance data-informed decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Dashboard Management & Development
- Maintain, update, and optimise existing dashboards to ensure they remain accurate, efficient, and user-friendly.
- Implement enhancements to improve dashboard usability and insights over time.
- Assist the BI Manager in designing and developing new dashboards and reports.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into interactive data visualisations.
User Support & Data-Informed Culture
- Serve as the first point of contact for BI tool users, addressing queries and resolving issues.
- Provide training and support to commercial teams to enhance their understanding and adoption of BI tools.
- Support efforts to transform raw data into meaningful insights, ensuring reports and dashboards drive business decisions.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance data literacy and BI tool proficiency across the organisation.
- Foster a collaborative, data-informed culture, embedding data-driven decision-making into business processes.
- Gather user feedback to identify opportunities for dashboard improvements and further development.
- Work within agile project frameworks, supporting BI development cycles, sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Help track BI-related tasks, ensuring transparency and stakeholder engagement throughout the process.
Data & Insights
- Ensure commercial teams have access to accurate, timely, and meaningful data to support decision-making.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to enhance data reporting and analytics.
- Investigate any dashboard reconciliation issues tracing back to raw data and making recommendations to establish single source of truth and instill trust in data
- Utilise advanced analytics to generate actionable insights that drive business growth and efficiency.
Data Governance & Management
- Maintain processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across BI platforms.
- Ensure adherence to data governance best practices and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of data quality and governance standards for reporting.
- Monitor data pipelines, troubleshooting issues to minimise disruptions.
- Support efforts to improve data integration, storage, and accessibility across BI platforms
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Support Commercial Excellence and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, and Finance) by understanding their BI needs and assisting in the delivery of data solutions.
- Work with IT and the BI Manager to ensure the BI infrastructure supports business needs and integrates effectively with other systems.
- Engage with local and regional stakeholders to align BI reporting and insights with business requirements.
- Leverage regional and global BI best practices to enhance reporting, standardisation, and data accessibility.

Your Experience And Skills
- Previous experience in maintaining BI dashboards (Tableau (preferred), Power BI, Looker experience)
- Extracting and manipulating data using SQL at a basic to intermediate level
- Excellent attention to detail
- Supporting end users, providing guidance on BI tools and resolving basic issues
- Working with large datasets, ensuring reports are optimized for performance
- Participation in cross-functional collaboration, engaging with business teams for reporting needs
