Job Description
About the role
Join Sydney Airport at an exciting time of transformation as we expand our in-house technology capabilities. As a Test Analyst in our newly established team, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality, reliable technology solutions that support the operations of one of Australia's most iconic infrastructure assets. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring our systems meet business needs and perform as expected, leading the planning, design, and execution of testing activities with precision and purpose.

Beyond day-to-day testing, this role is also an opportunity to shape the future of quality assurance at Sydney Airport. You'll contribute to building out our testing frameworks, tools, and best practices—helping to embed consistency and maturity across all projects. If you're passionate about delivering great user outcomes, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to make a lasting impact on a nationally significant organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

  • Lead the planning, coordination and execution of end-to-end testing activities across functional, integration, system and user acceptance phases.
  • Translate business requirements and user stories into clear, traceable test cases and scripts to ensure technology solutions meet expectations.
  • Identify, log and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with developers, business teams and project stakeholders.
  • Provide timely reporting on testing progress, system quality and risks to support decision-making and project transparency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery of technology solutions.
  • Help shape and embed quality assurance standards, tools and practices to drive consistency and uplift testing capability across the organisation.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business or a related field, with at least 5 years' experience leading testing and quality assurance in complex technology environments.
  • Strong experience applying a range of testing methodologies and tools, including both manual and automated techniques.
  • Proficient in developing and executing detailed test cases and scripts, ensuring traceability across the project lifecycle.
  • Skilled in defect identification, tracking and resolution through close collaboration with developers, stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, adaptable and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on delivering quality outcomes in fast-paced project environments.
