About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Corporate Digital Strategy aims to increase the number of enterprise-wide systems and oversee their delivery. We maintain high-quality services to the enterprise and support the development of business cases identified through the Corporate Digital Strategy, using other branches for the delivery of major initiatives.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to provide ongoing support for the Department's SharePoint environments. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the stability, usability, and continuous improvement of our digital collaboration platforms. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to support day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the enhancement of digital tools used across the department.
- Provide business-as-usual (BAU) support for SharePoint environments, including troubleshooting, site maintenance, and user assistance
- Engage with teams across the department to understand user needs and deliver practical SharePoint solutions
- Assist in the development and implementation of site structures, permissions, and content management approaches
- Monitor and respond to support requests in a timely and professional manner
- Contribute to documentation, guides, and training materials to support user adoption and system understanding
- Work collaboratively with IT and business teams to ensure alignment with digital governance and security standards
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
- Strong experience in administrating SharePoint Online (and legacy SharePoint On Premise)
- Demonstrated experience with frontend web technologies i.e. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery
- Knowledge of configurable, out-of-the box SharePoint capabilities
- Provide user documentation and technical support including identification of system issues and analysis of problem source
- Experience working with, or a sound understanding of, Agile and Scrum development practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to provide high level support to other technical staff and product managers
Desirable
- Experience using ShareGate for SharePoint Migration
- Experience in Power Platform (Automate, PowerApps) and other Microsoft 365 applications will be desirable
