Are you an experienced ERP / Business Systems Analyst with a construction background?

This is a rare opportunity to join a tier-one national construction & engineering group known for delivering large-scale, complex projects across Australia. With a strong pipeline of work and ongoing investment in technology, we're seeking a specialist who can partner with project teams, finance, and IT to deliver effective ERP solutions that keep major builds running smoothly.  My client wants to implement a new ERP system to support their business, with a mix of On-prem & Cloud (Not keen moving 100% to the Cloud).  You will need strong reverse engineering skills, as their current ERP system has been highly customised.

The Role

As the ERP / Business Systems Analyst, you will be the go-to expert for ERP systems that support job costing, subcontractor management, payroll, equipment hire, and reporting. You'll work closely with end users and external vendors to support, enhance and integrate systems (Viewpoint, JD Edwards, Jobpac or similar).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting, maintaining and improving the construction ERP platform
  • Working with SQL, Crystal Reports and system integration tools
  • Liaising with vendors for upgrades, patches, and enhancements
  • Supporting payroll and EBA compliance within the ERP environment
  • Collaborating with project teams on timelines, costing, and compliance
  • Driving process improvements and identifying system/operational risks
  • Producing dashboards and reporting insights for management

What We're Looking For

  • Proven ERP / Business Analyst experience within the construction or engineering sector
  • Hands-on knowledge of Viewpoint, JD Edwards, Jobpac, or equivalent ERPs
  • Technical capability with SQL, Crystal Reports, and integration tools
  • Strong knowledge of construction ERP modules (job costing, subcontractor management, payroll/HR, equipment hire)
  • Understanding of EBAs, payroll compliance, and construction industry standards/regulations
  • Experience with document management systems (Aconex)
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to identify risks, propose solutions, and deliver improvements
