The Systems Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring ERP and related applications meet both operational and strategic needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Finance stakeholders through requirements gathering, documentation, gap analysis, and ensuring successful delivery of system enhancements and fixes.
- Gather, document, and validate requirements for system enhancements and fixes.
- Conduct gap analysis between business needs and system capabilities.
- Document functional and technical requirements using JIRA (or equivalent).
- Collaborate with developers to refine requirements into actionable solutions.
- Partner with test leads to ensure testing aligns with requirements, including UAT coordination and defect triage.
- Support prioritisation of requirements and backlog items with product owners and project managers.
- Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and playback sessions with stakeholders.
- Identify and drive opportunities for process optimisation within Systems.
- Provide regular updates on requirements progress and delivery status.
Key Requirements:
- Strong business analysis skills: elicitation, gap analysis, process mapping, documentation.
- Technical acumen with ability to work closely with development and testing teams.
- Proficiency in collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office.
- Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
- 5–7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, gap analysis, and documentation.
- Experience working closely with developers, testers, and business stakeholders.
- Strong working knowledge of JIRA or similar tools.
- Previous experience in retail, supply chain, or ERP environments - Highly Desirable
