About the role

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an energetic Sales and Service Representative to join our Darwin team

Based in Darwin, you will report to the Area Sales Manager and demonstrate your outstanding sales and customer service skills daily.

The role will suit someone who is happy to travel and meet existing and establish new customers. Throughout your travels you will be handling and delivering automotive batteries and associated products, providing reliable and effective customer service and much more with our iconic brands.  You will enjoy the freedom of building lasting relationships with customers and looking after your own territory's sales and growth.

The key responsibilities of the role, whilst not limited to, are as follows:

  • Directly selling and delivering company products to customers, as well as identifying new business opportunities;
  • Achieving volume and revenue sales targets as per sales plan;
  • Use of a mobile point of sale system, processing of paperwork including the handling of cash, cheques and their deposit;
  • Effectively managing your truck stock levels;

Actively participate in the introduction of new products and promotions to the trade, including the effective placement of Point of Sale material.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following key competencies:

  • Clean Driver's Licence
  • Being service driven and able to work unsupervised.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Previous sales and customer service experience;
  • Attention to detail with paperwork and inventory control.
  • Route planning experience with the ability to manage inventory on your truck as well as in the warehouse;
  • The ability to lift heavy automotive batteries regularly
  • Strict Occupational Health & Safety Awareness
  • The ability to pro-actively participate in any ideas for improvement across the sales and distribution network;
