Our Planning & Environment team is engaged in a wide range of litigation, advisory and contractual matters across a diverse client range spanning both the public and private sectors. With the team continuing to grow in volume and breadth of work, as well as being known for their success and supportive culture, it is an exciting time to join.
About The Role
The practice enjoys a balance between top-level Government clients, and private sector clients. You will work on a wide range of matters for a sophisticated and growing client base. Types of matters you will work on include:
- Land and Environment Court litigation;
- Advice on issues such as permissibility, statutory interpretation of planning instruments, development contributions, environmental law compliance, contamination;
- Drafting planning agreements and works in kind agreements.
About you
We are seeking a lawyer with 1-4 years PAE, ideally with a background in or exposure to Land and Environment Court litigation (even as a graduate rotation). You will be open to learning and being part of a busy but supportive team.
You will have excellent legal research and written skills, with the ability to draft legal documents appropriate to your level of experience. You will have a keen eye for detail, sound judgement, critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.
This is a chance for a talented early career professional who is passionate about planning and environment law to develop under a senior team.
