The Role|
We are currently seeking a Lawyer with at least 1 year of PAE to join our Planning, Environment & Climate Change team in Sydney.
The role combines an interesting and wide-ranging mix of advisory and transactional work including advice on all aspects of planning law, project approvals, property development, heritage and the compulsory acquisition of land as well as a broad range of environmental matters such as contaminated land, pollution and licensing.
Who we are looking for|
The ideal candidate should have excellent academic results and will be eager to apply their skills to learn in this specialised and technical field of law. To be successful in this position, you will need:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working the environment, planning and climate change space within a law firm
- A keen interest in a variety of litigious, transactional and advisory work
- Eager to work within a growing firm and practice
- The ability to work effectively both within a team and autonomously
- Strong collaboration skills to work with the wider firm and Partners
- To be enthusiastic, organised and proactive
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
