Job Description
The role:
Cater Care is seeking a Full-Time Relief Chef Manager to support kitchen operations across our sites in Victoria.

This role is perfect for a dedicated professional who takes pride in delivering great food and maintaining efficient kitchen standards.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work across different locations and teams. Travel across Victoria is required to support a variety of contracts, including education, business and industry (B&I), aged care, and hospitals.

Roster:
Monday to Sunday, various shifts across 5 days (up to 40 hours per week)

Role
What this role involves:

  • Leading, developing, and managing the team on-site
  • Preparing & presenting food for our students/staff/residents
  • Support bulk cooking operations
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maintaining a clean working environment
  • Adherence to food & general safety practices
  • Preparing and presenting texture-modified foods
  • Provide tray service by preparing and delivering meal trays accurately and on time

Desired Skills And Experience
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work independently and able to supervise staff on-site
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, time management & attention to detail
  • A valid driver's license and access to their own vehicle
  • Working With Children Check required for educational sites
