What you'll deliver with us
In this role you'll manage and support the project test environments, ensuring that our environments are stable, secure, and properly configured while overseeing the planning, scheduling, and execution of software deployments and patching.
You'll be accountable for the triaging of functional and integrated workflows, as well as maintaining a body of knowledge across our applications, their interdependencies and workflows.
You'll also
- Ensure our development and testing environments are available, accessible, secure, and up to date, for use by various programs, projects, minor works, training and BAU.
- Plan, coordinate, and support software deployments by the application support teams, ensuring minimal disruption to testing services and other test environment users.
- Ensure our development and testing environments roadmap is aligned with our program delivery strategy and testing services strategy.
- Ensure our development and testing environments enable good testing governance, and are deployed and configured to ensure application security, and data loss prevention.
- Partner with vendors to bring the latest platform features and capability into Australia Post. Provide feedback, manage vendor tickets and lead vendor engagement on behalf of platform users.
About you
You'll be a strong communicator with the ability to work cross functionally, working with development, operational, QA and business teams to articulate technical issues and incidents clearly to resolve defects and incidents and ensure the health of non-production environments. You'll also be adept at running triage meetings, creating end-to-end triage plans, and post-mortems for continuous improvement coupled with the ability to deliver training and documentation on release and environment management processes.
You'll also need
- Experience working in very large complex organisations. Ideally postal service, logistics, transport, major retail, eCommerce or adjacent industry.
- Experienced at resolving complex technical issues, fostering co-operation between multiple teams, addressing disagreements and differences with respect and efficiency.
- Experience with ITIL incident, request, change and conflict management processes, and how to advocate the consistent usage of these processes.
