Position Overview:

Exciting opportunities are available for individuals seeking to make a positive impact as Disability Support Workers in our SIL (Supported Independent Living) arrangements respite care and community services and In-home care. As a crucial member of our team, you will be involved in providing 24-hour care, encompassing morning, afternoon, and sleepover shifts as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care Assistance:
  • Provide support for personal activities, including hygiene assistance.
  • Administer medication and offer necessary assistance.
  • Assist with manual handling when required.
  • Domestic Assistance:
  • Offer support with domestic tasks to ensure a comfortable living environment.
  • Meal Assistance:
  • Assist participants with meal preparation and related activities.
  • Behavioral Support:
  • Implement and follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP) for clients with complex challenging behaviors.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Assist participants in engaging in community, social, and recreational activities.
  • Transport participants to community-based outings using company or personal vehicles.
  • Group and 1-on-1 Support:
  • Provide support in both group and 1-on-1 settings, catering to individual needs.

Requirements:

  • Completed or currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant qualification).
  • Australian Driver's License.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check for paid employment.
  • National Police Check obtained within the last 12 months or willingness to apply.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion.
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid19
