About the Team
New Verticals is a new team at DoorDash. We're building and scaling new ways to delight our customers, leveraging the DoorDash platform to build a grocery, convenience, and alcohol delivery marketplace. DoorDash is looking for a Manager to join our International New Verticals team to build and grow our third party convenience and grocery businesses in Australia.
In 2025, we are working to become Australia's leading on-demand channel for grocery, liquor and convenience delivery. These verticals are high growth, and partner with Australia's leading retailers to deliver unmatched quality and speed to consumers.
About the Role
You are responsible for…
- Managing topline growth including delivery volume, subtotals and selection for our convenience and grocery businesses in Australia.
- Owning the strategy for growing our revenue -- setting the right goals, making the right tradeoffs, and looking for resources across the business will be important
- Reporting to the business on our growth and progress against plan
- Understanding our customer base and their use cases at the lowest level
- Working with finance to make tradeoffs in investment and growth, e.g. pricing and promotion strategy
- Partnering with Product, Engineering, Data Science & Machine Learning teams to conceptualize, build, and roll out product features and enhancements to improve the Customer shopping experience
- Partner with our marketing and Customer teams to plan and deploy in-market communications and marketing, driving awareness and adoption of our services
- You will report into the Senior Manager, Australia New Verticals and will work closely with your peers in New Verticals and strategic finance, as well as Canadian and US peers.

- Manage the top line growth of one of DD Australia's largest lines of business
- Build a growth strategy that educates and engages Australian customers in what new categories DoorDash is offering
- Work cross functionally with marketing, consumer product, sales, CRM and merchandising to market and grow the Australian convenience, grocery and alcohol business
- Have the opportunity to leverage your quantitative skills -- drawing insights from customer interview and surveys, looking at patterns within our customer data, and then applying those learnings to build a growth strategy for the country
- Work on the success of key enterprise clients across the world
We're excited about you because…
- You have 5+ years of previous experience in consulting, banking or general management at a technology company, e-commerce, marketplace company or equivalent experience
- You have a proven track record of leading initiatives, working cross-functionally to achieve goals, and succeeding in a team environment.
- Your quantitative - Fluency in both SQL and Excel
- You solve problems from first principles
- You are obsessed with our customers. You want to know everything about how they use DoorDash and what they wish they could use it more for
