ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently searching for a dedicated and motivated Sous Chef to join our close-knit team on a full-time basis at our venue, Breakers Country Club, located in Wamberal, NSW

As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day kitchen operation whilst ensuring the highest safety standards and high-quality meals are prepared for our customers to ensure we continue to create memorable guest experiences.

More specifically, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Supervision of staff engaged across Kitchen operations both Front and Back of House, including training and development
  • Coordination of rosters to ensure operational needs are met
  • Ensure continuous improvement of our service delivery
  • Attend and manage any staff complaints and customer complains
  • Ensure compliance of hygiene standards as set out within the HACCP standards
  • Ensure high customer services standards are always maintained
  • Monitor stock levels and complete appropriate rotation of stock
  • Assist with planning of menus

ABOUT YOU

To be successful for this role, you should ideally have the following:

  • Previous experience working in and leading in a high-volume kitchen
  • Hold a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Hold a current Food Handling and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Well organised and have a strong customer focus
  • Availability to work a flexible roster which may include days, nights, weekends and public holidays
