ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a qualifed Chef or experienced Cook to work on a casual, part-time, or full-time basis over a 7-day roster including holiday periods. We are searching for someone who is passionate about food and cooking honest pub grub Someone who understands the importance of quality and cooking the perfect Schnitzel or Salt and Pepper Squid whilst being creative and innovative.

The role will be providing support and ideas as reporting to the Head Chef playing a key role in the venue's growth and success. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, community-minded, and has a positive 'can-do' attitude.

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum three years experience in a fast-paced kitchen, qualifications preferable
  • Modern, contemporary, and innovative culinary skills
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends
  • Considers quality, technique, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation critical to success
  • Delivers a high-quality product that not only meets but exceeds customer expectations
  • Adhere to work health and safety laws, food safety standards, and allergen requirements
  • Monitor costs across portion control, waste minimization, and stock management
  • Ensure a premium and consistent approach to all levels of food and service delivery
  • Able to work autonomously as required and remain calm under pressure to ensure professionalism is maintained
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people

    (suppliers, customers, employees, and management)
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a calm and methodical manner
