God's Kitchen is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join and lead our culinary team. This full-time role is located in the heart of Mornington, Victoria and plays a key part in delivering exceptional dining and night life experiences to our guests.

What you'll be doing

Collaborating with the owners to keep our successful South African style cuisine and pub classics alive, using fresh local seafood and local ingredients.

  • Keeping regulars happy with some classic pub favorite meals and creating weekly specials.
  • Preparing high-quality, creative meals and ensuring all food preparation and cooking tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen.
  • Manage ordering and inventory control.
  • Adhering to all relevant food safety and workplace health and safety.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years experience as Head or Sous Chef in similar hospitality setting.
  • Formal Culinary Training or Qualifications min. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
  • Passionate and confident knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety.
  • Strong time management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Ability to work part of a team in a hands on role kitchen management position.
