Albany Community Care is seeking a passionate Chef or Experienced Cook to join the vibrant team at Camp Quaranup, located on the picturesque Vancouver Peninsula.

Surrounded by stunning bushland, serene beaches, and panoramic views of Albany, Camp Quaranup offers a tranquil and inspiring environment for both guests and staff.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing catering for conferences, school camps, professional development days, weddings and workshops, as well as overseeing the running of the commercial kitchen and managing kitchen staff.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality catering services for a variety of events, including:


• School camps


• Conferences


• Professional development days


• Weddings


• Workshops

You will also oversee the daily operations of the commercial kitchen and manage the dedicated team of kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

Key Requirements


• Proven experience as a Chef or skilled Cook in a similar role


• Flexibility to work varied hours (full-time or job-share option available)


• Demonstrated ability in bulk cooking and event catering


• Experience managing a commercial kitchen and supervising staff


• Ability to plan menus, deliver quality meals and manage stock control


• Willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
