About the Role:

Kapital is supporting a leading financial services organisation through a major business sale and separation. We're assembling a high-calibre delivery team across infrastructure, data, applications, and business change.

As a Project Manager, you'll drive end-to-end delivery of separation workstreams—owning scope, plan, budget, and risk—while orchestrating stakeholders to achieve a smooth cutover and stable Day-1/Day-2 operations.

What's a Typical Day Look Like?

  • Build and manage integrated project plans (milestones, dependencies, resources, budget) across multiple separation streams.
  • Lead cutover strategy and execution: run-sheet design, dress rehearsals, contingency planning, and DR considerations.
  • Oversee data migration and application/infrastructure transition activities with clear acceptance and rollback criteria.
  • Coordinate vendors and internal teams (IT, operations, investments) to deliver on time and within scope.
  • Run effective governance: steering packs, RAID management, change control, and executive reporting.
  • Drive risk/issue identification and mitigation; unblock dependencies early to protect critical path.
  • Ensure compliance, security, and regulatory requirements are embedded throughout delivery.
  • Prepare business readiness plans (comms, training, hypercare) to minimise operational disruption post-separation.

About You:

  • MUST HAVE: 5+ years as a Project Manager in funds, investments, or wealth.
  • MUST HAVE: Proven delivery of divestment, separation, or M&A projects within investment management.
  • Demonstrated exposure to one or more:
  • Infrastructure migrations (DC moves, networks, servers)
  • Data separation & migration (controls, reconciliation)
  • Application separation/cutover
  • Business process separation & operational readiness
  • Strong stakeholder management (C-suite to delivery teams) and vendor leadership in complex environments.
  • Track record running multi-stream programs with competing deadlines and tight timeframes.
  • Expertise in cutover planning, risk management, testing, and benefits realisation.
  • Calm under pressure, structured, and delivery-driven.
