About the Opportunity
The Finance Manager at Ag Guard will be a hands-on leader responsible for all financial management aspects of the company. This role requires an experienced professional with strong analytical ability, commercial acumen, and proven experience in financial planning, reporting, and compliance.
The Finance Manager reports to the CFO/COO, will lead a small finance team and work closely with the leadership team in Australia and New Zealand as well as with Ag Guard's corporate investor.
About the Role
- Manage budgeting, cashflow, forecasting, trust accounts
- Prepare monthly as well as ad-hoc reporting. Covering both financial reporting and reporting to insurers via bordereaux.
- Assist with preparing of board papers
- Developing and implementing financial processes
- Supporting management with financial analysis to enable informed decisions
- Managing compliance with finance policies and strategy
- Work with external stakeholders as required.
- Manage a small team
- This role reports to the Director of Finance/Operations
Key Requirements
- Strong academic background and CPA/CA Qualified
- Minimum 8 years' experience, preferably within the insurance sector.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, financial modelling, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Xero and strong Excel skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements across Australia and New Zealand, including tax, compliance, and reporting standards.
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Self-starter
- Familiarity with multi-entity and cross-border reporting environments (Australia/New Zealand experience preferred).
