We are looking for a Financial Analyst, with previous financial accounting and reporting experience to join our Finance team based in our Sydney office, conveniently located in St Leonards (next to the train station).

You will be part of a highly visible and interactive team, where you will be responsible for general financial accounting activities of the organization primarily interpreting accounting data and preparing journal entries.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assist with preparing monthly forecast and reports on financial and operational performance
- Track and report project financials on monthly basis, including revenue and costs
- Analyse functional P&L along with variance analysis compare to PLAN and forecast
- Ensure accuracy of project budgets, backlog, EAC hours and other study metrics, and to ensure better future visibility for the business units
- Perform monthly HC reconciliations
- Prepare and post month end rev/cost related journals
- Maintain/correct cost allocations
- Assist with AR billing and payment allocations
- Support internal and external audits through provision of requested information, clarifications

**Key requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance required.
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in general Accounting in the Finance function within a medium/large organisation
- Knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles and concepts.
- Strong internal and external customer service orientation.
- Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization including senior level management.
- High level of personal motivation and a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently in a team environment with mínimal supervision. Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Ability to work and adapt to different foreign cultures.
