The Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools (DLCS) assists schools to build teaching and leadership capabilities in communities of professional educators who share responsibility for school improvement and for achieving the best outcomes for our students. With a strong foundation in the Mission of the Church, we support approximately 3,500 staff across a diverse and expansive region of NSW.
Description
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Strategy, People & Communication, this pivotal role will lead a multi-disciplinary team across HR, WHS, payroll, and organisational development. You'll drive strategic workforce transformation, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with the Mission, Vision, and strategic priorities of DLCS.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead and inspire a high-performing People & Culture team.
● Drive strategic HR initiatives including performance, learning, and talent development.
● Oversee WHS systems and foster a proactive safety culture.
● Provide expert advice to the Board, Director of Catholic Schools, and Executive Leadership.
● Champion organisational change and workforce capability development.
Profile
To be successful, you will be a seasoned executive with:
● 10+ years in senior People & Culture leadership roles.
● Proven success in leading change within complex organisations.
● Expertise in HR strategy, WHS, industrial relations, and payroll.
● Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
● A commitment to the values and Mission of Catholic education.
Qualifications & requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in HR, IR, Business or related field (postgraduate preferred).
● Valid Working with Children Check and a cleared National Police Check.
● Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Job Offer
