About the role

We are seeking an experienced, talented and passionate chef to join our vibrant team in Beautiful Hervey Bay, Queensland. As a chef you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional quality food and providing an outstanding dining experience for our customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including entrees, pastas, and other Italian style specialties
  • Ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to streamline workflows and maximise efficiency
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organised kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Assisting with menu development and testing new recipes

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment
  • Experience working with a woodfired or gas powered pizza oven highly advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine desirable but not essential
  • A passion for creating delicious, authentic dishes
  • A professional qualification in commercial cookery or significant experience as a cook
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills to thrive in a busy kitchen
  • A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene
