Contract Administrator – Commercial Team, Large Mining company

Location:
Work from Brisbane (when offsite) and fly to Regional NSW (with flexible options – office and work from home)

Contract:
12-month initial day rate contract with strong likelihood of extension

Circa $850 (including super)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join a commercial team with a large mining organisation on a 12-month contract, with potential for extension. This role will primarily be based regionally on a 5:2 roster, with flexibility to work from a metropolitan office or home when off-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage subcontracts throughout all project phases, including payment claim assessments, subcontractor variations, extensions of time, and dispute resolution
  • Prepare payment schedules, manage retentions, bank guarantees, and finalise subcontractor accounts
  • Maintain contract registers, payment trackers, accruals, and support cost reporting, budget forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Ensure contractor and project insurances are valid, compliant, and documented
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support project delivery and commercial compliance
  • Assist with procurement and contract preparation activities, providing guidance on contract administration best practices
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure subcontractor performance and compliance

Roster & Travel Options

Standard 5:2 Roster:
Monday to Friday on-site (relocation costs covered)

Alternative Rosters:

  • 12:9 FIFO from major cities (flights, accommodation, and meals covered)
  • 5:2:5 Hybrid – 5 days on-site, 5 days working from home or metropolitan hubs (flights, accommodation, and meals covered)
