Contract Administrator – Commercial Construction

Location: Brisbane City and surrounding areas

Join a progressive and growing builder delivering high-quality commercial, fitout, and refurbishment projects across Queensland. We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Contract Administrator to support our project delivery team across all phases—from tender through to completion.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the commercial and contractual management of our projects. This position involves managing subcontractor engagement, cost control, progress claims, and ensuring compliance with contract obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of subcontract packages, scopes, and award recommendations
  • Administration of head contract and subcontract terms, variations, and progress claims
  • Cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting in line with project budgets
  • Coordination of procurement schedules and timely delivery of materials and services
  • Liaison with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure commercial alignment
  • Assist the Project Manager with programming, reporting, and contractual correspondence
  • Support project close-out and final account processes

Skills & Experience

  • Industry experience as a Contract Administrator or similar role within the construction industry is preferred
  • Strong understanding of head contracts, subcontracts, and construction law principles
  • Experience with D&C and lump-sum project delivery models
  • Proficiency with project management and estimating software (e.g., Procore, Jobpac, or similar)
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline
