Position Objective

The
Consulting & Supply Chain Specialist
is responsible for delivering high-impact support across supplier management and consulting initiatives. This role is designed for a commercially minded professional who combines analytical capability with strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Working closely with the Strategic Workforce Innovation Manager, the Specialist will contribute to shaping commercial frameworks, ensuring compliance, and leveraging data insights to optimize supplier performance and client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

ACCOUNTABILITY ACTIVITIES

Supplier Governance & Commercial Management

  • Oversee supplier contract lifecycle, including negotiation, compliance, and renewal.
  • Conduct supplier capability mapping and performance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks to ensure alignment with commercial objectives.
  • Support supplier engagement strategies to strengthen partnerships and deliver value.
  • Build, update, and manage supplier rate cards and associated data.
  • Provide rate card support to the business, ensuring accuracy and timely updates for commercial decisions.
  • Manage modern slavery compliance for suppliers, including monitoring and reporting obligations.

Contracts Database & Compliance Management

  • Maintain and update the contracts database to ensure accuracy and accessibility
  • Track contract milestones, expiry dates, and renewal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across supplier agreements.
  • Maintain version control and audit trails for all contract-related documents.

Financial & Commercial Analysis

  • Prepare and analyze rate cards, cost models, and margin structures.
  • Deliver financial reporting and insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Monitor supplier KPIs and identify opportunities for optimization across the supplier baseManage the CXC Compliance Calendar to endure that all regulatory requirements are met.

Consulting Support & Process Improvement

  • Provide operational and analytical support for client consulting engagements.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of process improvements that enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing documentation, reports, and recommendations for client-facing initiatives.

Technology & Data Enablement

  • Utilize workforce management systems and reporting tools to maintain accurate data.
  • Apply data-driven insights to improve supplier governance and consulting outcomes.
  • Explore opportunities to leverage automation and AI tools for efficiency gains.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in supplier governance, contract management, or commercial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting and cost modelling.
  • Exposure to consulting or client-facing environments is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with workforce management systems (VMS, ATS)
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks, including modern slavery obligations.
