About the role
Main tasks:
Your primary focus will be managing and growing relationships with tier 1 construction clients across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Other tasks:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at the corporate and site levels
  • Identify new business opportunities and proactively pursue new accounts
  • Visit clients regularly to understand their hiring and rental needs
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitive activity
  • Represent the business at industry events and networking functions
  • Prepare client activity and sales performance reports
  • Manage key accounts across Melbourne metro and regional Victoria
  • Work closely with senior management to align strategy and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.

What you must have to apply:

  • Proven business development or account management experience in hire/rental or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of tools, equipment or machinery sold in commercial construction
  • Demonstrated ability to network and manage relationships at corporate and site levels
  • Current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel across Melbourne and regional Victoria
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

You will be highly regarded if you also have:

  • Existing relationships with tier 1 construction companies
  • Experience with equipment OEMs selling into commercial construction
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
  • Technical understanding of safety and compliance standards in the hire rental industry.
