Nepean Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to support the ongoing development, capability, and clinical excellence of our Nursing Workforce. As a key member of the Education team, you will play a vital role in fostering a culture of learning, supporting staff development, and enhancing patient care outcomes across the hospital.

This role will see you deliver high quality Clinical Education, Training, and Coaching for Nursing staff at all levels, support onboarding and orientation programs for new graduates, students, and newly appointed staff and facilitate in-service training, clinical skills development, and professional development activities. At all times you will work collaboratively with Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Multidisciplinary teams to identify learning needs and implement targeted education initiatives and contribute to quality improvement activities, evidence-based practice, and patient safety initiatives.

What you will bring to the role

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and a current valid NSW Drivers licence.
• Relevant clinical/education post registration qualification/s.
• Recent experience in a CNME role.
• Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education for new graduate nurses.
• Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work in a consultative manner.
• Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring and preceptorship.
• Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
• Commitment to working with nursing staff to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages reflective practice
