Working within a dynamic sheet metal manufacturing environment, the ideal candidate will:

As a Production Assistant, you will be part of a team that assists with the manufacturing and assembly of products designed by our engineering team and manufactured on our own machinery. You will also be required to move between work centres for a variety of sheet metal related processes.

Your tasks will include:

  • Operate sheet metal machinery
  • Assembling products
  • Assisting with powder coating products
  • Assisting with other sheet metal manufacturing processes as directed
  • Packing and dispatching products
  • Ensuring your work area is orderly, clean, neat & tidy at all times
  • Ensuring you comply with all OH&S responsibilities
  • Compliance with QMS processes and certification
  • Provide feedback to the work center team leader as to the status of your workload and completion level
  • Support the work center team leader in ensuring all machinery is operating at maximum capacity
  • Using your initiative to identify and suggest new and improved ways to operate within the factory
  • Participating in and initiating Lean and 5S process improvements

Classification of position:

Casual with potential for full time

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $30.00 – $31.50 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
