The purpose of this role is work in collaboration and support the Plant Manager ensuring that production, quality, and HACCP processes are in place and complied in unison with a high performing team.

From overseeing activities across the Processing and Packaging cycles, this role requires you to draw on your exceptional People and Organisational Management Skills as you deliver products to schedule and specification.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Exceptional Leadership**: Be an integral part of the team by guiding production staff and fostering problem solving and solutions within a busy manufacturing environment
- **Coordinate to plans**: Coordinate and manage labour requirements in line with process schedules
- **Safety First Workplace**: Promote, Practice and Lead a safe workplace by identifying, reporting & controlling risks and hazards
- **HACCP Management**: Ensure staff and branch work practices comply with all company/ legislative policies and procedures (including OH&S and HACCP guidelines)
- **Understand and achieve** agreed production business plans, KPI’s, Sales forecasts, Operational budgets and Performance targets via effective cross functional communications and teamwork
- **Innovation and Involvement**:Encourage Product Development initiatives and conduct 1 on 1 meetings with production staff to encourage continuous improvement initiatives
- **Manage and assist** in the development of the culture to be consistent with corporate values
- Ensure the **warehouse** and associated vehicles and tools are maintained to standard
- **Assist **management and support all Stock Control, Replenishing and Supply Chain objectives

**Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications**
- Previous experience in Production Management (Food Manufacturing Industry, an advantage)
- Strong leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence people to initiate and deliver quality and change (team consists of approximately 20+ staff)
- Relevant Qualifications: Engineering, Science / Food Industry, an advantage)
- Thorough knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and HACCP principles and practices
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), decision making and negotiation skills
- Intermediate PC skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to manage work autonomously and in a team within an office and factory floor environment
- Flexibility and Responsiveness - some weekend and on
- call work is required during peak seasons
