Main Responsibilities

· Diagnose and troubleshoot performance diesel engine issues using advanced diagnostic equipment and software.

· Perform repairs, modifications, and upgrades on diesel motors, focussing on increasing power, torque, fuel efficiency, and reliability.

· Install turbochargers, intercoolers, exhaust systems, fuel injectors, and custom tuning modules.

· Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing of diesel engine systems.

· Collaborate with the Roo Systems team to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and expectations.

· Keep accurate records of work completed, including diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and parts used.

· Stay up to date with the latest diesel technology trends, products, and tuning methods.

· Provide exceptional customer service, explaining technical information in a clear and friendly manner.

· Maintain a safe, organised, and professional workshop environment always.

About You – Skills & Qualifications

We're looking for an enthusiastic technician who combines technical prowess with a drive for continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will possess:

· Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent qualification).

· Proven experience working on diesel engines, with a strong background in performance upgrades and modifications.

· Solid knowledge of automotive electrical systems, engine management, and fuel injection technologies.

· Familiarity with tuning software and diagnostic tools for modern diesel vehicles.

· Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.

· Meticulous attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

· Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting.

· Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.

· Current driver's licence and own transport.

Preferred but not essential:

· Previous experience in a performance tuning workshop or motorsports environment.

· Experience with 4WD vehicles and commercial fleets.
