An exciting 12 month daily rate contract opportunity is now available for an
Infrastructure Design Architect
to join a large-scale supply chain transformation program. This role will lead the infrastructure design for a new high-performance warehouse site, integrating modern on-premise and cloud technologies to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure outcomes.

As part of a high-performing digital architecture and automation team, you'll be responsible for shaping infrastructure standards, ensuring interoperability with robotics, network, and enterprise systems, and setting the foundation for next-generation warehouse technology enablement.

This is: what you'll do

  • Lead infrastructure design for a new warehouse site build – ensuring scalability, security, and performance
  • Act as key advisor on technology decisions, ensuring alignment with architectural strategy
  • Define infrastructure patterns, standards, and governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with delivery teams, vendors, and contractors to implement the infrastructure stack
  • Design and oversee networking, compute, storage, and cloud infrastructure integration
  • Contribute to solution design reviews and technical proposals
  • Ensure environments are architected for resilience, compliance, and cyber readiness
  • Support delivery and operations across infrastructure and digital platforms

This is: what you'll need

  • 5+ years' experience in infrastructure and related architecture domains (cloud, network, compute, storage)
  • Proven experience leading infrastructure design for warehouse or office fit-outs
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, VMware, SAN/NAS, backup, DR, SD-WAN, Firewalls, and Wi-Fi
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (or equivalent)
  • Experience with Terraform and ARM templates
  • Hands-on design experience in data centre or warehouse environments
  • Exposure to robotics or OT/IT integration (Dematic experience highly regarded)
  • Familiarity with FMCG or supply chain industries advantageous
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic problem-solving skills
