About the roleThe Purpose of this role is to provide Critical Incident Response Services (including emergency response, critical incidents, planned support service, disaster response and incident support forums) using the primary intervention models of Psychological First Aid, stepped care and referral pathways, to support Converge International's customers. This support is required during an incident or organisational change, and will involve informing the organisations of themes, recommendations, or any internal (customer) process improvements. This role may also include the delivery of Employee Counselling and Training and Consulting Services.
We are seeking contractors who are experienced registered Psychologists and Social Workers to provide critical incident and crisis counselling support to our client organisations. Using Psychological First Aid (PFA) and other trauma specific interventions and approaches to support individuals and their organisations through providing one-on-one trauma support and group sessions.
About you
• Experience in providing psychosocial interventions, support and counselling.
• Relevant experience and minimum 2 years trauma management and/or relevant consultancy services
• Demonstrated ability to assess workplace issues, identify suitable intervention programs and provide solution- focussed advice to achieve agreed outcomes
• Have a passion to help people and enjoy working flexibly in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills, report writing skills and willingness to travel to client sites to do trauma response work
• Demonstrated ability and experience in delivering People Assist services (EAP, RRS).
• High level negotiation and facilitation skills
• Work collaboratively with all stakeholders
• Trained in Psychological First Aid as well as be registered with the appropriate professional body
• Have a current driver's licence and access to a vehicle
