The role:

  • Act as a project leader reporting directly to a director on major projects.
  • Accountable for the management of medium to large scale projects which include pricing, tender submissions, technical documentations, project scheduling, resourcing and meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Take team ownership by developing, managing, mentoring and training employees.
  • Ensure your team delivers projects focusing on client level of service and quality to secure repeat work whilst meeting program and profit targets.
  • Ability to apply advanced engineering principals to devise and deliver practical, economical solutions to problems.
  • Manage the technical and contractual aspects of projects to ensure technical requirements and met and performed in compliance with legal requirements, TTW policies and procedures.
  • Influence, negotiate and manage effective professional relationships with clients, authorities and external stakeholders.

About you:

This role is ideally suited to someone with:

  • 10+ years' relevant experience in engineering design within a consulting environment
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent recognised by Engineering
  • CPEng
  • The willingness to build & maintain strong professional relationships with both internal team members, fellow consultants, and clients
  • The skills to prioritise and manage the competing demands of multiple assignments and / or projects within agreed timeframes and budgets
  • Working knowledge and understanding of BCA requirements and relevant Australian standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
