Role Overview

Elevate is seeking a highly skilled Product Counsel to join a global fintech company on a 12–14-month contract, starting in March 2026. The role is based in either Sydney or Melbourne, with a hybrid working arrangement.

You will provide expert legal advice on consumer credit law and product development, supporting the launch and compliance of cutting-edge financial products. Working closely with product teams and senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping compliant, customer-focused solutions in a fast-paced, global environment.

Salary - $180-$200K package

Experience advising on:

  • Consumer credit legal frameworks, including the National Consumer Credit Protection Act and responsible lending obligations
  • End-to-end product development of lending or digital credit products, including product design, disclosures, UX/flows, operational processes, and customer lifecycle compliance
  • Hardship, collections, credit reporting, advertising standards and borrower communications

About You

  • A minimum of 7+ years PQE with ability to operate autonomously
  • Prior experience in digital financial services or fintech environments
