About The Role
NHP are currently seeking a passionate, motivated and experienced Senior Credit Officer to join our National Credit team, based in Melbourne.

This role reports into the Shared Services Manager and is a critical support role in managing credit risk, overseeing account applications, and supporting key stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations. You will act as the first point of escalation for credit-related issues and play a key role in maintaining strong customer and internal relationships.

Size of the AR team – 8 staff.

Accounting system – Microsoft D365.

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for all escalations and resolve issues promptly.
  • Review and release customer orders in line with company policies.
  • Assess and process new account applications efficiently.
  • Manage a small ledger of key accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and the sales team to support business growth.
  • Assist with reporting and data analysis to provide actionable insights.
  • Assist with regular credit limit reviews to mitigate risk.
  • Manage CreditorWatch portals, including PPSR registrations and ApplyEasy.

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • 5–10 years' experience in a senior credit or finance role.
  • Exposure to CreditorWatch portals and related credit risk tools.
  • Experience within sales/distribution or manufacturing distribution environments (advantageous)
  • Previous experience reconciling customer accounts and investigating queries
  • Systems savviness (Microsoft D365)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • A great eye for detail and accuracy
  • Confident and capable communicator with strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to motivate, support, and drive team performance.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work with a range of different personalities to achieve agreed outcomes
