The Role
As the our Creative Marketing Strategist, you'll own the creative engine that powers Tend-2's growth.
You'll have the autonomy to bring your ideas to life - taking concepts from strategy to execution and seeing your creative direction shape the brand in real time.
This role is perfect if you thrive at the intersection of creativity and performance marketing, love writing compelling scripts and briefs, and get excited by using data to turn ideas into ads that perform.
Core Responsibilities
1 - Creative Strategy, Scripting & Ideation
- Write compelling, high-converting ad scripts for Meta and TikTok.
- Develop creative concepts, hooks, storyboards, and briefs based on insights and performance data.
- Translate customer psychology and product benefits into thumb-stopping creative angles.
- Define a vision for statics to support paid campaigns and ensure variety in creative testing.
- Stay on top of platform trends.
2 - Creative Production & Management
- Manage a pipeline of video editors and content creators.
- Brief, direct, and review edits to ensure output meets performance and brand standards.
- Ensure high-volume asset delivery to keep paid channels fuelled.
- Oversee creator whitelisting and influencer partnerships.
3 - Performance & Optimisation
- Partner with our media buyers to understand what's working and what's not.
- Continuously iterate on concepts to scale winners.
- Build the creative testing roadmap — design, launch, and analyse structured creative tests, and turn learnings into repeatable frameworks.
4 - Leadership
- Lay the foundations and systems of an in-house creative system that can scale at speed.
- Work closely with the founder and wider team on campaign ideas, launches and brand building.
What Success Looks Like
- A consistent flow of fresh, testable creative assets across video and statics.
- Clear improvements in key metrics: hook rate, CTR, hold rate, thumb stop and ROAS.
- Faster turnaround from brief to live ad, keeping paid channels fuelled.
- Strong collaboration with media buyers to scale winning ads.
- Creative that's both on-brand and performance-driven, adapting quickly to results and trends.
- Most importantly: Success here means shaping how we communicate Tend-2's voice and values. Someone who owns the role, their work, and takes pride in what they build.
About You
- 3+ years in creative / copywriting / paid social (agency or DTC brand).
- Proven track record to write high-performing scripts and briefs.
- Strong understanding of Meta & TikTok creative.
- A mix of creativity and marketing experience.
- Experience briefing and managing editors/creators.
- Balance of strategic thinking + execution — you can both ideate and deliver.
- Get excited about having autonomy in building systems, workflows and creative direction.
- A data-driven, proactive leader with a "do it now" attitude.

- Full-time role based in Cremorne, Melbourne (short walk from Richmond Station).
