The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to join our dynamic management team. This is a full-time role responsible for the operational and risk management of a diverse retail portfolio, working to optimise asset performance and investment returns.

Please note: This role requires travel to multiple retail sites across Sydney and potentially regional areas, so a current NSW Driver's Licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and proactively manage building regulations.
  • Undertake regular re-tendering of service contracts, including reviewing specifications and ensuring best practices.
  • Daily on-site contractor supervision and management.
  • Maintain high presentation standards and oversee the day-to-day operations of the assets including maintenance, security, and safety.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with tenants, clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Monitor and review operating expenditure against budgets.
  • Assist the Centre Manager in preparing monthly client reports.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and plant/equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Identify opportunities for sustainability improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Manage capital expenditure and upgrade projects across multiple sites.

What We're Looking For

  • Real estate licence or certificate of registration (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a similar facilities or property management role, ideally within shopping centres.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) – essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Proven stakeholder and client relationship management skills.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence – required.
